Salti is for everyone.

Created by international-level sailor Dan Slater and his design savvy wife Rachelle, Salti is for everyone.
Salti gear is designed (here in NZ) to be affordable, fun and accessible for beginners, while standing up to the demands of experts.

We saw a gap in the market for a high-quality, mid-budget range that could be worn by and perform for anyone: from Olympic level, to amateurs sailing around the world, and kids learning to sail.

Salti Gear is designed by sailors for sailors. Dan’s 20 years of Olympic class racing has seen incredible gear developments, and Salti takes on board the best features for the modern era of sailing and other watersports.

“Sailing is my life; it involves almost every moment of my day and I wouldn’t change a thing.”

Design Led

Salti is designed in New Zealand, by  sportspeople who really know the ropes. Every product is considered for comfort, fit and function, and has been repeatedly tested where it matters – in the ocean.

Usability meets durability. From wind resistant to water repellent – every piece of Salti gear is crafted from the right fabric for its purpose. To keep you warmer, drier, and safer out there.

Through experience, we’ve learned the right fit and adjustability – from armholes that let you move to high waists for body warmth. So every piece proves itself in tough conditions and fierce competition.

Meet Dan Slater.

Born and raised in the City of Sails, it’s only natural that Dan’s spent heaps of his life on the ocean. Since his International debut at the 1992 ISAF Youth Worlds, Dan has represented his country not only at three Olympics, but also as a Strategist/Tactician for Team New Zealand. He’s also coached World Champions, Olympic medallists and European Champions.
